This is my 17th year teaching! I’ve had the pleasure of teaching 3rd grade for 11 years, 5th grade for 5 years and a ⅘ combo. All but 2 of those years have been enjoyed at David W. Long. Prior to teaching, I was a substitute teacher, permanent substitute and a teacher’s aide. My passion is teaching and I love my job! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with my husband and kids. My family loves to camp and ride quads, which we try to do as often as possible. In addition, we love going to the beach or lake. I have a beautiful daughter, Gabriella, who graduated from high school and wants a career in education one day. She recently was hired in the child care department for Etiwanda School District. My son, Brayden, will be in 6th grade and loves to play baseball and made the All-Star team this year. Much of our summer was spent either at practices or games! I also have 2 step children, Ryan and Kadee, who recently graduated and live in Oklahoma. My fur babies are named Zoey and Stokeley. While I am out on medical leave, Mrs. LoPiccolo will take excellent care of our new 3rd graders.
Hello! I am Michelle LoPiccolo and happy to be a part of the DW Long family. I have been married to my husband Sal for 13 years and have 3 wild and crazy boys Dane, Levi and Jude. We love going on family adventures and spending time in the outdoors. I also love getting crafty and creative! I got my Bachelors in Fine Arts at Cal State Long Beach in 2007, and then went back to school in 2018 and received my Masters in Elementary Education along with my credentials at Grand Canyon University. I love working with kids and being in the classroom! I have substitute taught for over 6 years now in the Etiwanda School District. My outlook in life is to stay positive, be silly and never stop smiling!
Welcome to Room 10! I am your child's third grade teacher this year, along with Mrs. Wilkie. I have wanted to be a teacher my entire life and come from a long line of teachers. I received my BS in Child Development and Adolescent Studies and my Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton. I also recently received my Masters in Instruction and Curriculum in 2022. This is currently my fifth year teaching at David W. Long, where I have taught first, fourth, and third. My husband Tyler and I have been married for 4 years and we have a year and a half old son named Baker. We also have a goldendoodle named Sadie. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the lake, and shopping. Some of my favorite things are Starbucks, Target, unsweetened iced tea, iced coffee, almonds, dark chocolate. I look forward to a great year with you!
Welcome to 3rd grade! I will be teaching with Mrs. Pratt this year and I'm so excited to have your child in our class. This will be my 11th year at DWL and my 15th year teaching! I've taught 1st-3rd grade and I'm so excited to be returning to 3rd grade this year as it's one of my favorite grades. My husband Scott and I have 2 kids who are in kinder and 2nd grade in the Etiwanda School District. When I'm not teaching, I am spending time in my new pool and making custom decorated sugar cookies. Can't wait to make this year fantastic and memorable!
