Gifted & Talented Education Program

Students qualify for GATE in Etiwanda by meeting either of the criteria below on the CogAT:

• Composite Percentile Rank Score of 90 or higher

• Student Age Score of 128 or higher in any area (verbal, quantitative, nonverbal).

Your child’s individual scores are located at their school site. If you wish to obtain these scores, please contact your school and schedule an appointment with either the administration or the site GATE facilitator, Michael Rodriguez.

Annual CogAT testing is administered in the fall to Third grade students. Students whose combined ELA/MA GPA is 3.75 for two semesters are eligible for taking the CogAT each year.
