I'm deeply honored to be your new principal at D.W. Long! I'm lucky to have been able to call Etiwanda School District my work home for the past 16 years- first as a Resource Specialist Teacher at Perdew Elementary, and then as the Assistant Principal at C.P. Lightfoot Elementary School. A tiny bit about me- I have a B.A. Degree in Theatre (I LOVE musical theatre), a M.A. Ed. Degree, and then a M.S. Degree in Educational Administration. I have been married for 23 years, and have a 15 year old son and a 20 year old daughter. I love doing things with my family, helping to take care of our little mini-farm, and eating all sorts of food...(I'm definitely a foodie!)

I value communication and collaboration, and have developed a routine method of making sure our families and staff are kept in the loop with information and opportunities to participate in various capacities. I send out short weekly family updates and then a more comprehensive monthly newsletter all by email. You will also be receiving messages from our school via our new Alerts system- It is important to note that the text message will come from a 98900 number.

There are many exciting things to look forward to this year at DWL. We are in the process of planning lots of instructional activities and fun events for families to enjoy together throughout the year.

I am very much looking forward to getting to know everyone and planting some roots here at DWL. Together, we will work closely as educational partners to help our Rangers reach new heights!
