Hi DWL Families! My name is Nick Zajicek, and I am honored and excited to be your new Principal! Although my last name has a difficult spelling, it is easy to say (Zi-Check) or Mr. Z is good with me too! I have grown up in Rancho Cucamonga all my life and love calling our community home! I have two amazing daughters (ages 14 and 16), and am blessed to be their dad. I have been in education for 21 years, and a principal for the last 11 years . I started my career in Ontario -Montclair School District, and joined Etiwanda School District in the 22-23 school year. I am committed to ensuring every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. My approach is centered on collaboration, open communication, and building strong relationships with all members of the school community . I believe in the importance of a well-rounded education, where creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork are celebrated alongside academic excellence. Together, we will create an environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
